Butterscotch is the colour of a room that glows. The stripe is so fine and tonal it reads almost as texture until you're close enough to see it properly. The ruffle and stripe are the same toffee tone, one delicate, one concentrated. Just like butterscotch, the depth comes from the same ingredient at different intensities.
Put it on your bed and your room shifts. Everything warm nearby gets warmer. The light seems to land differently. It lands in your room and never feels out of place.
Butterscotch is the rare thing that works for everyone. Warm, golden, unbothered about being timeless.

100% Oeko-Tex certified European linen. Premium stonewashed finish, buttery soft from day one.
Cushion Insert
Soft enough to sink into, supportive enough to lean back on for hours. A premium 100% cotton shell wraps a microfibre fill that stays plush through napping, reading, or a slow morning in bed. Piped edging keeps every cushion in its sculpted, tailored shape. Hypoallergenic and vegan.

How to style Butterscotch
Butterscotch earns its warmth back from everything it sits with. Natural linen, warm wood, earthy decor items.
The detail that completes it is simple: one trailing plant, something dark and organic against all that warmth.
Keep the palette in the amber-to-cream range and your room holds together without looking arranged. Cool greys and whites with a blue undertone will work against the warmth rather than with it.

Mix and match these with Butterscotch.
Created by someone who uses one every day
I wanted my bedroom to feel styled and intentional, without the morning pillow ritual that felt like too much effort every single day.
So I created the Arlem Bedhead Cushion. As beautiful as it is comfortable, and so easy to style! The idea came to me on a holiday in Queensland, and the day I got home I taught myself to sew, pouring my love of fabrics into every cushion. The first few hundred were hand sewn on my kitchen table in Adelaide, where I obsessed over every detail, shaping them soft enough to sink into yet structured enough to lean back against.
Today I still design every Bedhead Cushion, and use one on my own bed every day.
Whether you have been here from the beginning or have only just arrived, I am so happy you found Arlem.
